- “Email is required” / “Invalid email format” - the email field is empty or not a valid email address.
- “Password is required” - the password field is empty.

Tip
Still cannot get in? Use the Forgot password? link to reset your password (Section 2), or contact your administrator to rest password.
2. Forgot / Reset Password
If you cannot remember your password, Proffa can email you a secure link to set a new one. This is a three-part process: (a) request the reset link, (b) open the link from your email, and (c) set a new password.
2.1 Step A - Request a Reset Link

- 1On the Sign In screen, click the Forgot password? link (or go directly to https://proffa.app/forgot-password).
- 2Enter the email address registered to your Proffa account.
- 3Click the Send Reset Link button.
While the request is processing, the button shows “Sending…”. When it succeeds, a confirmation screen appears.

Important
The reset link expires in 10 minutes. If you do not see the email, check your spam or junk folder before requesting another link.
| Field / Control | Description |
|---|---|
| Email address | The email registered to your account, where the reset link will be sent. |
| Send Reset Link | Sends the password-reset email to the address entered. |
| Back to Sign In | Returns to the Sign In screen without making changes. |
2.2 Step B - Open the Link in Your Email
- 1Open the email from Proffa titled (for example) “Reset your password”.
- 2Click the reset link inside the email.
- 3Your browser opens the Set new password screen.
Note
If the link has expired or is invalid, you will see an “Invalid Reset Link” message with a button to request a new link. Simply request a new reset email and try again.

2.3 Step C - Set a New Password

- 1In the New Password field, type a new password (minimum 6 characters).
- 2In the Confirm Password field, type the same password again.
- 3Optionally click the eye icon beside field to check what you typed.
- 4Click the Reset Password button.
| Field / Control | Description |
|---|---|
| New Password | Your new password. Must be at least 6 characters long. |
| Confirm Password | Re-type the new password exactly. Must match the field above. |
| Reset Password | Saves your new password. |
| Back to Sign In | Returns to the Sign In screen without changing your password. |
Validation messages you may see:
- “Password must be at least 6 characters” - choose a longer password.
- “Passwords do not match” - the two fields are different; re-type them to match.
- “Invalid or expired reset link…” - request a new reset email (Step A).

When the password is updated, a confirmation screen appears. Click Sign In to return to the login screen and sign in with your new password.
Tip
For security, choose a password you do not use on other websites, and keep it private. You can change it again at any time from this same process.
